I believe that relationships and connections are key to fulfillment and meaning. Every person has a story, which is sacred, and deserves to be told, processed and respected in light of these connections. I come alongside people as they make sense of their stories and experiences. As I have struggled in my own life, raising a large family and searching for meaning, I have learned that the most valuable thing in life is relationship and connection. A large part of my practice is devoted to helping people discover connection with themselves and their families. It is my aim to live wholeheartedly and to encourage others to do the same.
I work with individuals, families, and couples. I specialize in working with divorced couples to help them navigate co-parenting after divorce, helping parents and children reconcile their broken relationships, assisting couples who have lost their emotional connections, and guiding individuals who are struggling with shame and self-esteem issues. Having been trained in Play therapy , Sand Tray Therapy and Experiential Arts therapy, it is important to me to include artful experiences and creativity into therapy.

I believe we all do things for a reason, even things we don’t fully understand or even want to do. I see my role as a therapist as helping identify these reasons and the needs they represent. I work with clients to choose better ways of satisfying them. This process starts with grace and is followed by collaboration to discover what is necessary for change. I love to use scriptural principles when appropriate for the client. My overall perspective for counseling is Systems Theory, and I use Emotion Focused Therapy as a theoretical base for working with couples and relationships.
